Wasco Electric encourages all members to enroll in Frontier Regional Alert, the emergency notification system serving Wasco, Gilliam, Jefferson, Sherman, and Wheeler counties.
Frontier Regional Alert provides timely notifications about emergencies that may affect your safety, including wildfires, severe weather, flooding, road closures, evacuation notices, missing persons, power outages, and other emergency events.
When you register, you can choose how you’d like to receive notifications, including:
- Cell phone
- Home phone
- Work phone
- Text message
You can also register multiple addresses—such as your home, workplace, or another property—to receive alerts for locations that matter most to you.
Residents who rely primarily on cell phones or internet-based phone service are especially encouraged to sign up, as emergency notifications are not automatically delivered to these devices.
Registering only takes a few minutes and helps ensure you receive critical information as quickly as possible when emergencies impact our communities.
