Join Us for the Wasco Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting
We are excited to invite our members to the Wasco Electric Cooperative (WEC) annual meeting on Saturday, November 23, at The Dalles Civic Center. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch is at noon, with the meeting to follow.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for our cooperative community to come together, review the past year’s accomplishments, discuss future plans, and engage with 1 another.
Members should receive their ballot in the mail the first week of November, and we encourage you to participate by casting your vote. Your vote aligns with the cooperative principle of Democratic Member Control, as you elect 1 director from each district to represent you as the membership.
The annual meeting is more than just a gathering. It’s an opportunity for you, our members, to participate in the democratic process that sets your cooperative apart. This year’s agenda includes:
- State-of-the-art cooperative address. General Manager Lindsay Forepaugh provides an update on the cooperative’s performance during the past year, including financial reports, major projects, and operational highlights.
- Board of Directors election. Members can vote for candidates running for the board of directors. Your participation is crucial in helping shape the leadership and direction of WEC.
- Member Q&A session. We welcome your questions and feedback. This open forum allows members to engage directly with cooperative leaders and voice their opinions on topics that matter to them.
In addition to the formal agenda, the annual meeting features a variety of family-friendly activities. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and enter to win exciting door prizes. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and celebrate the cooperative spirit that makes WEC unique.
Your participation in the annual meeting is vital to the success of your cooperative. We encourage all members to attend, get involved, and make their voices heard. We look forward to seeing you at the annual meeting and working together to continue building a bright future for Wasco Electric Cooperative.
