Wasco Electric Cooperative is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, elected by and from the membership. To ensure fair representation across our 5,000-square-mile service territory, the co-op is divided into three Director Districts, shown on the map below.
Each district elects its own directors to the Board, so members in every part of our territory have a direct voice in the decisions that affect their power — no single area carries more weight than another. Directors serve three-year terms on a rotating basis, elected at the co-op’s Annual Meeting, so no single election changes the whole Board at once and there’s always institutional knowledge on hand.
