Why are we seeing Wasco Electric out in the community more and more?

We want our members to benefit from more than reliable power and affordable rates, which is why you’re seeing Wasco Electric more active in the community. We support youth through buyers’ pools for local 4-H and FFA programs at county fairs, and we spend time in elementary classrooms teaching electrical safety. We also offer scholarships—both traditional college scholarships and support for students pursuing trade programs—so we encourage families to watch for those opportunities.

In addition, we simply want to be present in the communities we serve so you know who we are and we know you. This year we participated in the Warm Springs Energy Fair, as well as community events in Sherman County, Maupin, and Tygh Valley. We do our best to show up wherever we can, and if you have something happening in your community, please reach out—we’d be happy to join you.
