Members must notify Wasco Electric Co-op when discontinuing service at any location.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CONTACT US WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT!

You should not rely on a future tenant to assume the utility service is in their name, or to provide the final meter reading, thus removing yours.  If service continues in your name, you will be responsible for the electricity used.

In most cases, the electric service will not be physically disconnected, so it is very important that each person read the meter when leaving and make sure that the reading, with the final reading date, is delivered to the co-op office in person, by telephone or by mail.  This protects the out going member and the incoming member from paying the other person's usage.
