Members must notify Wasco Electric Coop when discontinuing service at any location. It is important that you contact us with instructions to close your account!
You should not rely on a future tenant or homeowner to assume the utility service is in their name, thus removing yours. If service continues in your name, you will be responsible for the electricity used.
In most cases, the electric service will not be physically disconnected, therefore it is very important that both parties contact the Coop office in person or by telephone. This protects the out going member and the incoming member from paying the other person’s usage.
Leave us your forwarding address
Since your cooperative is non-profit and allocates the patronage to the members, those capital credits are periodically paid to members and former members by check. Those checks will reach former members if they keep their address on file with the coop office.
