Membership Makes You An Owner
As a member of Wasco Electric Cooperative, you are now an owner in your rural electric cooperative. That is what sets us apart from other types of utilities, you are the owner - and you control the cooperative. Rural electric cooperatives, like Wasco Electric, are non-profit, private businesses and exist only to provide services - like electricity to it’s members at cost.
Wasco Electric Cooperative, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors, elected by you and the other member/owners at our Annual Meeting, which is held each November.
Our mission is to provide you with competitively priced, reliable energy and related services. The staff at Wasco Electric is dedicated to working in your best interests in achieving this goal. Please call on us at anytime if you have questions about the cooperative, our policies, services or any other questions you have regarding your membership with the co-op.
Each month, you will receive a Ruralite magazine. This is our main means of communication with each member, so I encourage you to take time to read it to keep informed of activities and changes at your cooperative.
